"To keep the number of outbreaks moving down, the Food and Drug Administration must get more authority over the food system, says Stephen Sundlof, director of the agency's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. That could include the ability to mandate recalls and require all food producers to create a food safety plan for their products, now only required of seafood and fresh juices."

I just wish they would do something about the safety of food for all..As anyone is at risk when exposed to bad food..even though some are more at risk..no one is safe from getting ill and even death in some cases..
