" "These internet sites in general are a proven haven for malicious actors and content and are particularly high risk due to information exposure, user generated content and targeting by adversaries," reads a Marine Corps order, issued Monday.

"The very nature of SNS [social network sites] creates a larger attack and exploitation window, exposes unnecessary information to adversaries and provides an easy conduit for information leakage that puts OPSEC [operational security], COMSEC [communications security], [and] personnel... at an elevated risk of compromise."

The Marines' ban will last a year. It was drawn up in response to a late July warning from U.S. Strategic Command, which told the rest of the military it was considering a Defense Department-wide ban on the Web 2.0 sites, due to network security concerns."

So these soldiers who are in shocking places "doing their duty" so to speak - are now banned from using these sites to contact friends - loved ones - or just for relaxation in general - what next will they ban then from doing and what sort of a "life"are these young men being forced to lead??? TY Dee Brightest Blessings

It's hard enough for the Marine soldiers without cutting them off from all contact with their families except mail. I hope they can still use email and chat lines. Is the Marine brass afraid that what soldiers tell their families about their take on the war will reach the media? They give no examples of security breaches, and strangely, "the Army recently ordered all U.S. bases to provide access to Facebook. Top generals now blog from the battlefield." Must be a special Marine virus they're afraid of. Reminds me of Bush banning photos of caskets returning home from the war. Out of sight, out of mind. What do they think, Osama bin Laden has a facebook page? Weird.

The best way to control some one is to cut him from the rest of the world, so they can be cleanly brain washed! what evil can do more, play psycho games on their own! let alone their enemy! if the enemy exist!
Namasté , peace be with you and them!

My Facebook account was taken over recently.

When I discovered that it, I was trying to post a comment opposing enforced vaccines. In my case, it is censorship, which I have been undergoing for years to prevent my telling about the secret Guantanamo-style death of my brother, a handicapped American citizen.

Mine is the FIRST American family in the 21st century to have a member SECRETLY arrested and returned in a body bag after 18 days - with police denying that he was incarcerated while they kept him hidden away from his social worker and family until he died without his vital heart drugs.

IF THEY DID MORE TO KILL HIM, WE DON'T KNOW, AND POLICE ARE NOT MADE TO SAY.

Larry Neal's death was followed by a cover-up facilitated by our wrongful death attorneys who were acting to protect Memphis Shelby County Jail - the third largest jail in the nation.

The USDOJ under the Bush Admin. was in charge of the jail following suit by the USA for prisoner abuse. But the DOJ did not really care about abuse to prisoners, as we all know. And my family was DENIED any answers.

IN FACT, I AM PERSECUTED AND TERRORIZED FOR ASKING "WHAT HAPPENED TO LARRY NEAL?"

In the SIX YEARS since the murder of lifelong mentally ill heart patient, Larry Neal, we have been DENIED all records and accountability of his arrest and death.

Even some of the Guantanamo captives have more information and accountability than we do - an American family.

I have also been banned from many networks to protect this news. And some networks that I was allowed to join prevent my account from having full services.

Care2 is one example - I am PREVENTED from posting videos. I have no "reply all" tab on my email account. My emails to friends sometimes arrive in their mailboxes days later, depending on what I write in them. Sometimes I post to groups, and it does not actually show in the groups, but it shows only on my computer - a trick for my URL only.

Bless the Marines. I have had many jobs that do not allow one to reach social media sites. This is not really that unusual, especially since they have sensitive info.

WHAT IS UNUSUAL IS SECRET ARRESTS AND DEATHS OF AMERICAN CITIZENS WITH NO EXPLANATION AND RECORDS -- DESPITE OPEN RECORDS ACT LAWS.

What is unusual is that I have been housebound for over a year because I am stalked when I leave and acosted at stores in my neighborhood - terrorized for not forgetting all about Larry Neal's murder in government custody right here in the U.S.A.

See THE COCHRAN FIRM FRAUD videos on YouTube.

I said mine is the

FIRST AMERICAN FAMILY TO HAVE A SECRET ARREST AND UNEXPLAINED DEATH.

If YOU let them get away with it, it can spread like TB
