A judicial review has been launched against the Home Office's decision to allow a facility which breeds beagles for research to be built in Yorkshire. Cruelty Free International launched it in a bid to stop thousands of puppies being bred for experiments.

B&K has a sister facility in Italy whose director and two other "higher up's" where jailed for cruelty to animals. I'm glad that so many people are opposing what will be a hell hole for the poor beagles. I don't see the petition. I'll check back later. Thanks, Rosie.

Thank you to everyone who has noted, signed and shared to date on this appalling issue. Yes, Maggie (W< -46)
there are so many facilities in Europe - and many are linked to particular research programmes - each country being designated to a particular part of the research - and some of it has links to research going on in the US and Australia too! Conspiracy theorists have lots to say about all that - and some are constantly 'investigating' the secrecy surrounding so very much of it all - not to mention the egregious abuse and cruelty.
