A federal judge has ordered the Navy to adopt stringent new safeguards intended to improve protection of whales and dolphins during its sonar training exercises off Southern California. The Navy intends to fight this common sense ruling, naturally.

The navy fought and won in the past. Hopefully this judge will be able to make his ruling stick.
Noted with thanks, Rebecca.

Judge Cooper is a very concerned Judge. Her ruling was based on sound information and the staff attorney ('s) who wrote her decision are very knowledgable. I believe this has every chance of holding up in a higher court.

(Long live good staff attorneys!!!)

Thanks Rebecca.
