Organic food differs from conventionally produced food in the way it is grown, handled, and processed. We recommend beginning by staying away from these 20 organic foods that are actually worse for you.

Hm, mislabelled apples, wild fish, bananas: this article is a compendium of ideas. It's correct to say that natural is defined many different ways on labels, but the headline mentions organic. The bad effects of sprays on banana plantations (on the creatures and people in the tropics) concerns me, not just whether the poison reaches my own body. Organic beer is living food and can be part of a healthy diet. Yes, organic berries are better than organic cookies. That doesn't mean that cheap, big brand cookies are better than organic cookies does it?

I was extremely pleased to read that non-organic onions, avocados, bananas, citrus fruits and pineapples were OK. Very annoyed about organic apples incorrect labeling. Thanks for posting.

You just have to be careful since Monsanto has been labelling their own as organic. As in vitamins also they lie saying they are pure when they are not. Gives Organic and vitamins a bad name.

Thank you for posting this article, Sophie, although it contains bad news for me. That's alright. I guess I'll just have to consider Amy's Organic Vegetable Lasagna a guilty pleasure.
