This will be the 4th cull of it's kind and it may not even be legal. The past three have been controversial, but the one planned for this week was withheld from the public and permits may not have been legally drawn - please contact officials to PROTEST!

Fisherman, scourge of the ocean!! Not the correct way to deal with the problem. Here we are yet again the humans allegedly have the intelligence, cause a problem with their actions and cannot reach an acceptable and realistic resolution without resorting to slaughter and killing, destructuion of other species because it is the most convenient way to deal with the problem but far from the best. Thank Eva.

Oh Samantha, a larger truth hath n'er been spoken! You are SO right about these "fisherman," especially the "local" who comes to the creek or pond to rip all the fish out of the water and leave behind spools of discarded line, hooks, and garbage in general. Every single time I visit a park that allows "fishing" (it should be called "blood sport involving cruelty to other creatures via sadistic hooks"), I end up picking up rubbish, trash, garbage...and usually there's a bin only feet away from where the garbage is lying, but does this matter? No. They feel perfectly free to throw down their trash, haul out fish, and then complain about birds congregating to come see what food bits might be suitable for them to eat. THE NERVE OF THESE PEOPLE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING THEY THEMSELVES CAUSED!
