This is one unprovoked attack police won't be investigating. Jogging up Mt Ainslie during his lunch break on Thursday, 25-year-old David Striegl was king-hit from nowhere by a kangaroo and knocked unconscious and he has a black eye to prove it.

I have to say that while I feel sorry for the jogger I have been very amused by this story. Talk about getting ones own back with all the kangaroo culling that has been attempted in canberra

Remember the Boxing Kanagroos !- Anyway I am really not very surprised. Kangaroos can be very unpredicatable.. I am sorry for the injuries of the jogger- but it really is very] amusing- animals getting back at us! this is a change from our picking on them !!

I am still laughing about this. I feel for the jogger don't get me wrong. However the shoe is certainly on the other foot for a change

This is not funny at all! He is lucky it didn't kill him. Kangaroos can be very savage.

Yes kangaroos can be dangerous especially when they feel threatened or are deliberately provoked. I am from Canberra and always walked my dog on a leash for that exact reason. However sometimes one has to find some humour in life and David certainly did once he had recovered. I am not a mean person and understand the nature of the attack....
