There's a Cure for Hepatitis C, But Insurance Companies Don't Want to Pay for It

This is unbelievably messed up! True cures in medicine are surprisingly rare. But for nearly five years, doctors have had one available for hepatitis C, an often chronic, life-shortening viral disease that wreaks havoc on the liver

Thank the gods that the Cure became available to me over a year ago. After more than 50 years of hep c and many trials of damaging drugs I finally got the cure after liver failure and a heart attack. I am blessed with great insurance, Obama Care, and Medicare. My liver is still a mess but I concentrate on rejuvenation of that magnificent organ, my liver. I will, I can, make it better. - Healthcare for All -

These insurance companies are stupid. They'd rather pay for long term visits that do nothing, than paying for some treatments that would take care of it and it's gone. Glad to hear that you are all cured, Trish. Thanks Cat.

Something has to happen with the health insurance companies in the US, they are a disgrace!!!

A good friend was knocking on deaths door, he was completely cured over 3 years ago here in Australia!

It's outrageous that they often do not cover this drug. Worse still, according to the article, payment is being denied even more as time goes by. This is in spite of the fact that it is shown to have a very high rate of cure. Thanks Cat.
