On February 7, 1964, The Beatles arrived in New York for a television appearance that would change their careers. The Fab Four from Liverpool performed on the Ed Sullivan Show in front of 73m viewers, and instantly became household names.

Oh how excited were when we saw them on Ed Sullivan show.
Sure doesn't seem like 50 yrs ago.

When he Beatles hit my awareness, I was much more into Folk music. then later, I was more into harder edged rock music. I always considered the Beatles to be "Bubblegum Rock".

I may be in the monority, but, I enjoyed their individual music more than when they were the Beatles. Lennnon's "Imagine" could not have happened.
