What a joke, especially having to keep that stellar 2.5 grade average. Boy do we set our standards high in this country.

All he has to do is tell Congress it's for defense, and they'll support it. ;)

Of course, you have to ask yourself who will really benefit - students, or for-profit colleges.

How much money is spent on wars; at least this money would be used in our own country. It doesn't matter because the Republicans will not agree to it. The 1% certainly don't want the 99% getting smarter.

Noted. Thanks, Ray. Yes, it would help---except for the skyrocketing fees continuing. But, if we think this will pass a GOP Congress, then aliens have landed in I really can't see my Republican governor or legislature agreeing to the price tag unfortunately; all they care about is the continual upwards flow of money from the least to to the most wealthy.
I do agree the money should come from the War Budget. But, I fantasize.

If you think education is expensive, look at ignorance. I am SO tired of people who look only at costs and never at benefits. That is not even good business, and it's far worse government.

Simple solution. Take the $ from the budget of the bloated, incompetent, rapist military. Real defense is having an educated, healthy, employed population. Plan B: tax beer and soda (pop).
