I find this article very confusing, in one they due to his care needs the Council say they cannot afford, so the Council want move into a care home where is would cost about the same or more,

I would say this Veteran lives in a Council Property and therefore would be a Secure Tenant this does not mean he could not be evicted, but. It would a case whereby, the Council would need a Court Order to evict. The Court look at many things before deciding if or if not to grant a order,

On what read the Council would find it very difficult to obtain an order, has no Tenancy Agreement have been breached,
Indeed, I go to the point, the Council have not got a hope in hell of getting a order

In my opinion, this not about the cost.of care, this is about taking his home off him. The Council are after his property maybe to give to someone with family,

The Council are using the Cost of care as an excuse, This Councils do in the UK, pray on weak, old and the disabled,

Outrageous that a war veteran should be threatened with eviction in the first place.
Noted, shared
Thanks Ray.

But he is already very old and a veteran at that, a more humane treatment should be accorded him.
