Scientists warn that, if left unchecked, biodiversity loss could have devastating consequences, An international team of scientists has issued a warning that biodiversity is dropping below safe levels for the support and wellbeing of human societies.

I think it will be like the missing piece and will cause a chain reaction, if biodiversity losses are going on - we've already lost enough flora and fauna species from poachers and scavengers, which are always on the run for another exotic exemplar to make money and we don't need more!

As if this will matter to the capitalitalist/creationist/conservative/corporationalist/rabid religious right t-bagging anti-intellectual nut jobs out there. They seem to think that "having dominion over the Earth etc" is a free license to plunder and destroy as their will dictates. Just my opinion...
