Hello... I'm Oliver! I went to a new PetSmart in the St. Louis area, and they had a fun playgroup going on. When inquiring about joining, they told my daddy that I could not join in the fun because I am a Pitbull

you see. you guys are pitbull nutters.
how in the world can you have a pitbull in a playgroup? you guys keep putting this dog in a position will he will do harm. there are kids in those playgroups playing with their puppy dogs and you want to add a murderer into their playgroup?
that's why this dog is being killed by the millions yearly. nutters don't know how to handle them and keep trying to force them down the throats of our society and children.
keep them in your house and keep them locked up and secure.
did you google today to see what child or helpless person was killed today?

and if something happens of course the pitbull nutters will state the words they always state. oh my god! he's never done that before!
how many times have those words been uttered over the disemboweled body of a child? how many times?
when will it be enough?
google pics of pitbull attacks on children, go ahead. look at the disemboweled bodies of these wonderful children. go ahead.

no it doesn't include having pitbulls around other puppy dogs.
it doesn't and it never will. it's insanity to put a pit in a playground. but of course the nutters excuse will be; oh my god! he's never done that before, meanwhile the kid inners will be spread all over the place and his puppy's lifeless body will be tangling form the pits jaws.
grow up guys, see a therapist. these laws are going to change, get another normal breed of dog.
this one is out. they're in feral packs now, a big attack is coming and that will be all this nation needs to push it over the hump.

Dogs of any breed are likely to have a problem when meeting up with a stranger, especilly when their children & 'person parent' are involved. It is the nature of dogs to protect their people & themselves. Unsupervised Dogs or Children should not be allowed in playgrounds.

It's so ridiculous this is STILL happening. Anyone who has ever had different breeds of dogs should know it's usually (unless the dog has some kind of emotional/mental issue, like a rescue who was beaten/abused in a prior home and hasn't been rehabilitated) the owner/environment that determines how they behave. NOT the breed.

I've known lots of Pitbulls and Rottweilers, two breeds that get a lot of flak because they LOOK a little intimidating and because certain people train theirs to be mean. They are actually super sweet animals when raised under "normal" conditions, even more so if they are in a loving and attentive home. There's no reason to discriminate against these breeds. I've seen more kids get bitten/chased/harrassed etc. by Poodles, Dachshunds, Chows, Dobermans, Dalmations, Akitas, Huskies, Shar-Peis, Australian Cattle Dogs etc. than Pittbulls. (In other words, too many breeds to discriminate against ANY breed. Dogs are dogs, if they aren't trained properly, they WILL bite or chase people.)

If you're going to not allow certain breeds into playgroups, what you are actually saying is you shouldn't have dog playgroups at all. That is perfectly reasonable, if you aren't going to do some screening ahead of time to see which dogs are aggressive or whatever. ALL dogs can attack when provoked, or if they have a personality that just isn't socially acceptable...from the tiniest teacup Chihuahua, to the most massive Great Dane.
