Sammy Haddock started working with elephants when he joined the circus at 20, in 1976, a young man's dream. He walked them, groomed them, cleaned up after them. More than once, he later confessed, he beat them. Over time, his feelings about elephants g

oh no shit and we knew horror was behind it all, if no one knows what is going on in the circus, check it out, as we have many of us said before there is one way they get animals to do those STUPID tricks to entertain STUPID people, they beat them into submission.

I want everyone to imagine their baby is raised this way, ripped from you and abused to death. Thank You to Millie for showing her husband the way, and Thank You Sammy Haddock for having the honesty in you to open your eyes and your heart.
ty Echo, painful story, ty to the Post for exposing this pain, pray for a happy ending for the future.

noted and signed with great thanks Echo.
Am I wrong or is that Haddock the same man who was found guilty some years ago for abusing elephants in the circus?
One more question:)
Disney was in a partnership with RB circus to breed these baby elephant. Does anybody know if Disney is still a partner? If they are they also need to hear from us.

All we have to do is watch 'Earthlings' and then it becomes very clear that animals in circus are treated badly and abused. I saw how a man told a trainer; 'Beat the b...ch, I want to hear her scream.'
I can still hear this poor, wonderfull female trumpeting from agony and fear;( and I hope this man has or gets a shitty life. There are many good people but unfortenately too many of us are not more than savages with cellphones.
The use of animals in circus has to be banned and until then we must discourage people to go to a circus.

Signed and shared, thanks, Echo.
The photos are devastating - hopefully having them come put in a publication like the Post will jolt people's consciousness - and apathy!

Aujourd'hui j'y pense encore !

The pictures of these babies being tortured made me cry. They look so sweet and helpless so we have to be the voice for them. You bet I took the action and changed the letter to Vilasack considerably and much more stern words than the pre-written message. In other words, get off your fat lazy asses and enforce the animal welfare act. What more proof do they need now?
We need to check Ringling's schedule and send these pictures to a tv station in the city they are performing in from now on!!!!!!!!!!!

These circuses need to be eradicated and all their money and the executives who make money off of them be given to sanctuaries to care for these poor creatures. The owners, executives and anyone who participated or knew of these atrocities should be given lengthy prison sentences. They have comitted crimes against an entire race of Earthlings and should be tried as perpetrators of war crimes and genocide would be.

I HAVE SIGNED THE PETA PETITION ABOVE & ADDED THE LETTER BELOW TO MY PETITION SIGNATURE.

There is nothing HUMANE about separating a baby elephant away from its mother. In the wild they would stay together forever, as elephants stay in herds until they die. The barbaric cruelty has already begun, even before the training starts.

To subjugate ANY animal in this way, with the threat of pain, suffering and abuse if they do not follow orders IS CRUEL, BARBARIC AND WRONG ON EVERY LEVEL POSSIBLE. No animal should have to endure this life long prison sentence filled with fear, abuse, neglect, cruelty, pain & suffering. Enduring days chained up waiting for their next 'painful jab', 'electric shock', or being made to sit, stand and lie in positions that cause them pain & being hit repeatedly if they do not obey! There is no way anyone who has any compassion for animals would describe this as ENTERTAINMENT. It is archaic & inhumane to abuse an animal once, let alone systematically abuse them for life.

Circuses should be viewed as medieval practices that belong in the Dark Ages. Ringling's License should be revoked & their trainers should be prosecuted.

We as a world are working towards a Universal Declaration On Animal Welfare. Circuses are abusing animals for profit & the Welfare of the Animals concerned is of no consequence to them.

FROM ONE WHO CARES DEEPLY FOR ALL THE ANIMALS OF OUR WORLD.

PLEASE PUT AN END TO THE SUFFERING OF THESE INNOCENT ANIMALS IMMEDIATELY & IMPLEMENT LAWS TO PROHIBIT THIS ABUSE.

SALLY DIX

I will crosspost to all my friends/colleagues on Care 2, Change.org & other Animal Welfare Sites that I belong to. I will also send the link to the petition to all my personal Winmail contacts.

It is wonderful to finally have concrete proof to kick-ass Ringling and we all appreciate that honesty & that bravery of Sam Haddock but since I am a realist, dead man have told his story a little too late. I am sorry to state that but during all these times, all the hope that the elephants have for us to know about their plight, was still shielded from public from all the joyful moron trainers for many years. And boy, do they enjoy smiling and laughing for that pictures. And how many elephants have been abused and actually died entertaining our silly notions of a fantastic elephant show entertainment. Now that concrete proof is "finally" out, the public will now stand together to overthrow Ringling, because if we do not do it fast, all those animals have been abused and died for absolute nothing. We have to save whatever we can for the generations that are now still living, in hope that we finally realise, all that they want is nothing else but freedom & greenery.

When it comes to atrocities like these actions taken against animals -- in the name of so-called entertainment, all I can wonder is how the heck did this perverse cruelty start? And naturally, I then wonder why it's still legal to inflict such pain. Our world is in such dire need for more people to stand tall and help end this torture.

Sarah, yes a lot of people would agree with you, but have you interviewed a lot of former circus employees? They are all scared to death of the circus people. You should read a story on Salon.com titled "The Greatest Vendetta on Earth." And also a thread in one of our groups called "testimonies from former circus employees." People like this guy are called "elephant sympathizers" in the circ. industry (you know, like Nazi-sympahtizers) and some have even mysteriously disappeared or had questionable "accidental deaths" with foul play written all over it. I imagine this guy was probably scared!

Please read: (Former circus employees speak)

chilling testimony at that share, Echo. easy to imagine what brutal people as that could and would do to any human. we all know that people who are this vicious to animals are likewise to humans, they are mostrous in their hatred of life.

Thank you Echo for your views! I appreciate it! It is hard still trying to sleep at night without looking at my furkids' eyes and asking them, what it is like for you to endure so much pain with hope that someone will love you one day. Unconditional love only walks among animals and we have to do more to end this savage entertainment! Thank you Echo for the links!

Boycott all circuses until the trainers are doing the tricks instead of the animals.
