Am i the only person on earth who prefers the experience of shopping in person--it def appears so. I like to see+feel the products before i buy anything+the convenience of shopping online simply doesn't provide that. Thx Freya

i've noticed this, it's also true of supermarkets!

When i buy online it's usually products that i know, so there's no need to 'feel' them, i pay a lot less with the convenience of it being delivered to my door.

Thanx Freya

Having limited mobility, my choices are shop on line, don't shop at all, or hurt myself. Guess what I do, except for groceries, since shopping on line is not available to me on those. (And grocery shopping gives me plenty of pain, thank you very much.) I shop with a few trusted companies, most of which belong to, not that that is a guarantee of ethical business practices, but it doesn't hurt.

I had no idea! But I don't really know if this applies to Australia. I would never buy clothes or shoes online, but I do buy health supplements from the US, as they are so much cheaper, and I have more choice .Books can be cheaper too, though not from Amazon - shipping costs to where I live are more than the book!!

Better not be curious about what the rich and famous are doing or wanting to look into high end cars just for some interest or something to do. They might code you as having more money than you do and raise the cost to all the online shopping.

I'd gladly give up all of the technology to have my privacy back. No more cameras watching one's every move, no more monitoring and storing every phone call, I'd go back to looking in the newspaper for pen pals wanted in order to meet others around the world. But that is never going to happen unless Climate Disruption brings us to our knees, which is a possible reality with so many in the Leadership positions still dancing to the Oil Barons so on and so forth....didn't help that we now have the GOP in who is itching to get all the oil, gas it can out of the ground, blow up those mountains, and get those Nuke Plants built. Yup, Drill Baby Drill and all of we come.....gates are open.

I didn't realize this was happening. I do know that I get specialized ads on my Facebook page, after I've looked at some websites. I just ignore all the ads and they go away eventually. And thanks Joanne, I'm going to check out; hadn't heard about that either. I also do a lot of shopping online, including groceries. I don't mind in-person shopping, it's just hard to do most days.

The only things i buy online are things I can't find in-store. A number of businesses have closed because people are buying online through Amazon etc. Not much fun spending a day in town when half the shops are empty.

I also didn't realize this was happening. I do not agree with what they are doing. Thanks for sharing the article.
