David Antelo says his reverse osmosis machines can provide clean water to the lead-plagued city without the landfill waste.

I've read some about this being successful---believe there's big plans that include this method, for Australia. Thanks--hope it is a success, Freya.

This is a natural, inexpensive method of purifying water and absorbing heavy metal ions, germs, pollutants, pesticides, dyes, nanoparticles----however this won't rid the water of pathogens. I have another method for that though.
Rama Krishna Mallampati,, discovered a formula of rubbing alcohol with tomato and apple peels. Rub small pieces of the peels in the alcohol solution, then dry them. Put them in dirty groundwater for a few hours. It purifies drinking water with the exception of not ridding it of pathogens. For Flint and other areas affected with heavy metals, such as lead, it does absorb the heavy metal ions, nanoparticles, making it much safer to drink.
Another piece of info---"COST EFFECTIVE EGYPTIAN DESALINIZATION TECHNOLOGY FILTERS SEAWATER IN SECONDS": Costs much less than REVERSE OSMOSIS and other techniques. They use special membranes containing cellulose acetate powder that is produced in Egypt. It works with other components, to suck salt particles from dirty water, allowing clean water to pass through. The 2nd phase is heat desalination of water until it vaporizes, condenses to remove impurities and clean water is extracted.
I also have how to build an affordable high efficiency water filter for about $50.00---and how to distill and all sorts of methods to make drinking water, catching evaporations in various ways. Someday we will all face this, I fear. Learn the old ways of survival in the wilderness. Thanks Freya. Hope just this info above helps some poor souls.
