For marginalized people in our society - the undocumented, blacks, Muslims, Native Americans, many others - life has always been precarious. Now, all Americans are experiencing threats: to our healthcare, our basic rights, our principles of justice.

Proof that right wing fascism, mixed with racism, xenophobia and a Corporate Capitalist cold, callous, profit making business approach to everything is about the most dangerous creature on the face of the Earth.

I feel that my country is the victim of a hostile takeover. Ignorance and apathy allowed it to happen.

I hope that it won't be as grim as we think it is. A lot of what we are reading is democrat propaganda. Yes, they spew it as much as the republicans. Just don't know what to believe. We will never have unity so long as this mudslinging is going on. The majority of the country ,like myself, doesn't pledge a particular party and essentially we can push the changes. If I thought the dems were better than the reps, their behaviour during this last campaign has proven they are sneakier than the GOP. Right or wrong the GOP at least holds their hand up and is counted on unpopular issues. The dems just insulted our intelligence and totally ignored popular opinion thinking they were smarter than us. Shame on them. They are still keeping it up with these campaigns when they should be addressing unity and working together as they professed to strive for when the GOP was blocking everything Obama tried to do. I am sick of both parties behaviour. Neither party represents the majority of the people anymore and haven't for decades.. It's time we demand a 3rd party and it cannot happen until we ALL work together.

Noted. Thanks, Freya.

Never giving up; never giving in. And, I agree with Darren's above comment.
But, I also think Peggy B. stated it very well. The Dems put Schumer in charge in the Senate---which was a big mistake in my opinion. And, to give the House back to Pelosi was not the "carrot" needed to keep us Progressives happy. So, I am not in their camp anymore.
But, I'll keep signing petitions and sending letters on issues that are important to the majority of us. Until the Corporate Dems are out, so am I.
