Surely the children should make up their own minds about this?

Thanks, Freya. Some Turks will not stand for this, I like to think.

No, Lenore, the bible is man made. It has a huge number of inconsistencies, and has been edited by various ecclesiastical groups over the centuries. It has many important stories about how people can live together, but also stories of terror done man to man. Taking it literally is a relatively new thing, though older than our lifetimes.
Biology can not be understood without an evolutionary perspective. The disease we call MRSA is a direct result of evolution in real time, as are the agricultural pests that stay one step ahead of every years's pesticides.

Aldus Huxley wrote a book called "The Naked Ape". It goes a long way in explaining why humans are no longer apes.

Thanks again, and Hartson does this book tell us why we are a whole lot worse?
