Federal Ban Leaves Thousands of Pets Behind in Puerto Rico

As if making a major life-changing decision of escaping the island after Hurricane Maria was not enough, Puerto Ricans were asked to leave their pets behind due to an ongoing restriction enforced by federal authorities.

Given that animal comfort after such traumatic experiences is even more needed and that we accept animals from foreign countries (as long as related quarantines required are done) this amounts to illegal discrimination on PR people--thanks for letting us know Freya
