How lax regulation made it cheaper for China to outsource pork production - and all of its environmental and human costs - to the U.S.

Which is why environmental protections should not be eliminated! Trust but verify only applied to Cold War logic over nuclear weapons for everywhere else it is trust the environment to company stockholders and the profit motive???

The country with the World's Highest Military Budget AND World's LARGEST Budget Deficit, can hardly claim to be *developed*.

True, Darren, and medicine is going back to the dark ages in the US too because of greedy factory farming of livestock and the overuse of antibiotics.

sorry I am shocked, not only the environment, people living there but also the poor pigs,
we are try to stop Corea eating dogs, we should also stop having pigs in mass production
and help the poor people to have better living conditions
nearly everybody knows the condition people live and work in Vietnam, Bangladesh etc., but
very few know the truth how people have to live in the States
thanks for sharing

And so new environment protections for industry are being added to assist the outsources of environmental damages to ourselves for production aimed for China. Plus when did stockholders protect anything but their own profits even if still US corporate owned???
