Why the Universe Shouldn't Exist at All

Obviously, we know that there must be something, because we're here. If there were nothing, we couldn't ask the question. But why? Why is there something? Why is the universe not a featureless void?

Religious questions from an American (Larry King) to one of the world's greatest scientific minds, how embarrassing!

Science should be mandatory in ALL childhood education institutions!

This is what happens, when mind and egoism are let loose. . .

The universe could not other than exist because of its essential nature to exist. I suggest some scientists and their fans should spend a little more time with the great philosophers.starting with Aristotle and Spinoza. They went beyond the borders of science

Matter IS energy! It is energy in a condensed state, as determined by Einstein.
I just finished reading a fascinating book, "From Eternity to Here, The Quest for the Ultimate Theory of Time," by Sean Carroll. He provides some very well documented background about the universe's existence along the way to tying to answer the time issue. there are many other valuable books on this, including one by Alan Guth, the fellow who came upon the concept of inflation, following the Big Bang. I think his book is called "the Inflationary Universe."
Philosophy is wonderful, but is is not based on empirical fact. Religion is based on humanity's wish for answers, and far of living in what otherwise would seem to be a vastly random world, but it may just be exactly that!
