By and large, American workers haven't been getting the kind of pay raises that history predicts for an economy with such a low unemployment rate.

I can't understand how so many people swallowed the snake oil about that tax bill to begin with. Some people will continue to be delusional no matter what Trump and his cronies do to them. Thanks Freya.

Judy and Freya, my two sons, one lives in Arizona and one lives in Washington State both SAW a significant RAISES in their pay checks....without wages going up...less taxes were taken out.

What is significant and is the reason why I mentioned the states in which my children live and work.... is that Arizona and Washington State did NOT raise the taxes withheld..

There was a significant pay raise to workers at the level in which my sons work. Different states around the same time took more out of take home pay.

I just read an article complaining that Trump "temporarily created a semi permanent decrease in unemployment, but wages remain flat".....I am not sure what that means.....but of course the article ended by criticizing Trump for "promises broken"

Just commenting on the reality I see on the ground in regard to my children.

Regarding myself... there was no increase in the funds withheld from my Social Security to pay for Medicare Part A... but there was an increase in my Social Security I have more money in my check.........promises made to senior citizens and promises kept.
