Why Two People See the Same Thing But Have Different Memories

Does it ever strike you as odd that you and a friend can experience the same event at the same time, but come away with different memories of what happened? So why is it that people can recall the same thing so differently?

No it's not odd, i have been aware of this for decades, we perceive everything according to our personal experiences & then we go projecting it into the future!
Practicing concentrated breath meditation you get to understand this quite well.

Interesting. I feel it's a good thing when people do see things differently. Otherwise life would be boring.
Thanks Freya

This is also true of siblings. I always say my brothers and I were raised by different people, even though they were the same parents, because we remember things so differently. Thanks for the post.
