yah right, there's NO checks and balances in China WHO's gonna regulate them?
They're worse than us when it comes to quality issues and morally hey, they treat their own as guinea pigs.

Yes, buying local is the only thing that makes sense. Then there is also better recourse to address problems. besides it makes perfect environmental sense. Why buy potentially unhealthy products transported many thousand miles when you can buy healthy alternatives from your backyard? It cost a bit more perhaps, but at least you know it is safe(r) and you help support the local community.

I think we should put a huge tariff on products brought in from China.
That could pay for our own inspectors to inspect everything coming in.
....maybe then our own country could compete with the price of China's goods and bring our manufacturing jobs back.

I trhink that a country like China needs to concentrate on feeding its own people. If we stop buying food from them they will think twice about poisioning their own countrymen.
