Escalating petrol and fuel prices are exacerbating the already difficult financial situation for working people in Australia and undermining small businesses, including private truck operators, small manufacturers and a range of rural producers.

38c a litre tax then 10%GST tax on that tax (!!!)
This makes the price of EVERYTHING higher in Australia.
This is the first tax to be cut rather than INCOME TAX as it will force DOWN the CPI and therefore interest rates.
The cost of taking off the fuel excise is 9 billion.
This is less than a third of the Howard/Labor promised income tax cuts.
(That are mainly going to the wealthy)

Give support to gas conversions by droping the tax on gas
AT LEAST remove some tax on ethanol mix fuels

Some business can get tax breaks for fuel but the genral public NO WAY pay though the nose.
