Please study and comment to regulations.gov to have the USA list Panthera leo leo, the African Lion as Endangered species - it is in grave trouble in Africa, and YOU can help through adding your voice to listing:

http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=FWS-R9-ES-2012-0025-3488

BEFORE JANUARY 27, 2015 !

Heven't got time to explain at the moment, The Mexican Wolf Record of Decision is out and I am preparing materials in support of Alternative 3 to give in comment, with request for additional critical habitat connections to Northern Rockies and between recovery areas.
that one is at:
http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=FWS-R2-ES-2013-0056-8790
and comments are due BEFORE December 27, 2014

There is a Big Cat rescue practically in my back yard (Serenity SPrings) and they do great work (photos on my profile page). They don't however, have monkeys. these animals are going to The Wild Animal Sanctuary near Denver, and at least a couple of those commenting on the site have been there and speak well of it.

What possesses people to amputate lions' toes, break (or pull) their teeth, and make them perform tricks? I hope that soon ALL abused circus animals will be retired to sanctuaries.

Awesome awesome news - may they live out the rest of their lives in peace, free of the fear of humans, and in the habitat they deserve to be in.
