Why Is The U.S. Desperate To OK Slavery In Malaysia?

Observers are left with a deeper question: Why, in the year 2015, is the White House teaming up with Republican leaders essentially to defend the practice of slavery?

The administration is probably pushing this trade deal basically to "contain" China's economic power. China is the most obvious nation being completely shut out of the TPP.

:( are profits really worth stripping away human dignity from so many people? This not in my backyard mentality from countries is what is preventing us from ever moving forward as a planet. If you don't want it in your backyard, it cannot be in ANYONES backyard and we need to work on something that people DO want in their, and other peoples backyards. Slavery is so 100 ages ago, ok not really, but it should be. F*** this.

This is a new view of the TPP for me. I have been against it because I see no benefit to Americans from its passage. Adding a country with that much human trafficking is certainly not something that I agree with, but we all know what we think barely matters to our government.
