Great news! Hope other states follow CA's lead. Spent some time in Infectious disease research, with a focus on superbugs, especially Staph. The news was completely terrifying! Thanks for sharing, Lone. This is an important issue.

Stopping this crazy business of giving animals antibodies... is the best thing that could happen to food sources.

While I question the protest against GMO's ---and use of insecticides on our pests like roaches, rats and disease bearing mosquitos.......and organically grown produce as being the best we can buy..... I do spend more money in the market for items that don't contain anti-body use in production.

$5.5 million state costs to prepare for the law to take effect and $4.3 million each year afterwards?!
It's a good law, better late than never, but why so much?

It costs money for monitoring and enforcement, so I'm rather glad there is a decent budget for it!
