That gray cat looks almost exactly like my fur baby Helena. I got her from a friend and co-worker who took in a pregnant stray a few years ago. I adopted two of the kittens, Helena and her quasi-Siamese sister Aida, after my graymalkin Ragamuffin shuffled off her mortal coil. If cat owners (or, if you insist, guardians) were more responsible and had their pets fixed, there would be a lot fewer cats and kittens in shelters.

i much prefer they leave their unwanted cats at the closed shelter door rather than dump them in horrid places as so many do!!!
i think this shaming will not help the cats in the long run!

Animae... I was just starting to write and looked up to see you'd already written it. It would be ideal if people waited for the shelter to open, but some shelters (in US) want a donation to take your pet. It's much better to drop them where they will be safe than on a country road or close to a road. They should be credited with attempting to get them shelter. We don't know their story. I'm sure this was their last resort.
