Higher Food Prices Start to Pinch Consumers

Food Inflation and Food Shortages

Fears over food price inflation

Tight supply may hit grain stability

Nie Zhenbang, head of the State Grain Administration (SGA), said the country's food supply is secure and grain reserves are abundant following four successful harvests.

UN concerned over threats of World food riots

US Food Riots Much Closer Than You Think

I do remember reading one U.N. warning (just before xmas) which stated there was only an 8 WEEK stock of grains left.
Weather in U.S. and elsewhere has not helped the situation.
Neither is the fact that the idiots are using grains for fuel - and neglecting the food issues.
You wont dry a car when you`re starving.

ROME: In an "unforeseen and unprecedented" shift, the world food supply is dwindling rapidly and food prices are soaring to historic levels, the top food and agriculture official of the United Nations warned Monday.

Revelation 6:3

When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" 4 And out came another horse, bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that men should slay one another; and he was given a great sword. 5 When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" And I saw, and behold, a black horse, and its rider had a balance in his hand; 6 and I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not harm oil and wine!" 7 When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8 And I saw, and behold, a pale horse, and its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him; and they were given power over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.

Of course, to some it`s all just coincidence - whilst after all - MAN KNOWS BEST (yep, course, look at the mess we`re in, for having had that attitude for far too long)

Of late I have been studying the works of Karl Marx. While Marx was not religious, he was a seer on the problems confronting man on earth. These problems are complicated by Capitalism ! There is no shortage of food and there never was. The problem is that the Capitalist makes the food so expensive that the people cannot afford it! We could afford to keep the world fed under a Marxist society! Yet, Christianity which is prevalent in most of the farming areas of the world eschews Marxism as anti God and embraces Capitalism. Which is but another lie used by the Capitalist to discredit Marxist Socialism which must prevail if people are to be fed! I embrace the left wing of my faith and my heros are the Berrigan Brothers who were and still are priests! I am also pro liberation theology as practiced in South America in an attempt to thwart the fascist corporate enterprises that are raping South America!
