Foreclosures, water shut-offs, parents losing their children, school closings, tax increases, massive homelessness, police abuse, etc., nothing but good times for the people of Detroit. The governor is getting what he wants... gentrification. Peace.

Why are conservatives picking on Motown? What is happening there could happen in any U.S. city, even one that is currently thriving. We need to fight back NOW!

It is happening in Illinois as we speak. The new Governor is attacking union while he's trying to create Right to Work Zones. His agenda appears to be to destroy the middle class while he creates a paradise for the wealthy. He has a few democratic legislators for supporters because his money is good and they have no shame...peace.

Is this really only going on in Detroit? Maybe the whole US is bankrupt.

Noted. Thanks for posting, Cheryl. Yes, it is tragic what's happening in Detroit. I've seen segments on it on The Rachel Maddow Show and also have a friend who has family there. I don't know how this can be fixed and feel helpless for those living there.
