Thanks Lynn--this leader makes immense sense--and this is a core she spoke that we all should remember:"Instead, Queen Rania said, the war against ISIS must be led by Muslims and Arabs, with the international community in a supporting role. And part of that war is countering ISIS’s messaging online and on social media with content by the Muslim and Arab community, especially the youth, she said. “We can’t let [ISIS] hijack our identity and brand us in the way that they want. We have to write our own narrative.”

she would know? about islam? this is a high end h**ker. nothing more. see steals from the poor. the israeli press rips her up daily about the stealing. and the only reform for women in jordan she has ever put forth is the Botox Doctrine. if isis gets their hands on her you know what would happen right? if our bombing of isis stops jordan is doomed. this dummy might take too long packing everything she's stolen. she'll probably get caught.

Yeah, sure, "Nothing islamic" just as there was "nothing christian" about the genocide in the Americas, and Auschwitz didn't have anything to do withfascism. Just a few bad apples, nothing to do with the general underlying SICKNESS ...

she's a royal parasite. a submissive Muslim woman. a facade.that the inbred arab king puts in our face to fool us into thinking his kingdom isn't the medieval latrine it is.

el Lobo Strictly speaking, the disease is government sponsored extremism : fanatics killing promote an authoritarian agenda via the usual state sponsored terrorism : a tactic familiar to students of sponsored 'popular uprisings' engineered by foreign governments.

There is nothing good about monarchy either. Perhaps someone should tell "Queen" Rania that tidbit.

It seems that the C2NN system dropped the 'description' from the posting. Here it is:
"Instead, Queen Rania said, the war against ISIS must be led by Muslims and Arabs, with the international community in a supporting role. … “We can’t let [ISIS] hijack our identity and brand us in the way that they want. ….”

@ Justin --- "if our bombing of isis stops jordan is doomed."

Justin, she is saying that "the war against ISIS must be led by Muslims and Arabs, with the international community in a supporting role.", an acknowledgement that they cannot do it alone. She is not even talking about no bombing.

Further you said " ...to fool us into thinking his kingdom isn't the medieval latrine it is."

Your comment is offensive to say the least. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Just because a culture is different does not make it fodder for your scorn.

@ el Lobo --- It isn't the religion, Islam in this case, but the twisted, evil interpretation of same. That applies to the Christians of the Crusades (hell, the Pope was in on those ones), or the Christians of the Inquisition, or the Holocaust as you note. To say "a few bad apples" is to downplay the evil that is in some of humanity.

@ Brian M --- This is not an article about monarchy but rather fanaticism. That not withstanding, sounds like you're still fighting King Georgie III.

I'm with you Lynn. What she said was true.
Happy you caught the replies before I did. Justin Vale has compared me to ISIS.
Thank you for posting.

Justin Vale I urge you to moderate your offensive language before you get yourself banned from Care 2.

Lynn, Queen Rania speaks about Moderate Islam, while ISIS represents the original unadultered version of Islam. Yes, of Islam, and it is impossible to deny it. And indeed there is no Moderation whatsoever in ISIS's version of Islam.

I agree that the war against these barbarians should be conducted/led by people in the area.

I understand she wants to cut them off from the rest of the Islamic world...but as long as they're conducting themselves in the fervent belief system....as long as they're basing their actions on that exactl belief system....as long as they emulate Quranic texts and admonitions.....they're ISLAMIC.

Actuall, ISIS, considers Queen Rania not Islamic enough and does want to do with her as Justin wrote...

Hope they don't target her next.
Because I am part German (1850) doesn't make me a Nazi. Because I am part Spanish doesn't make me responsible for the Inquisition. Because I am white doesn't make me responsible for slavery.
Because someone goes to a mosque doesn't make them a supporter of terrorism. Because I go to church doesn't mean I am a good person. It's what I DO after I leave church on Sunday determines who I am.

I feel her pain. “We can’t let [ISIS] hijack our identity and brand us in the way that they want. We have to write our own narrative.” We Christians in the United States have allowed Dominionists to hijack our identity and call themselves Christians for so long we may never get the name back. I suppose as a private party I can tell someone calling himself a Christian that he isn't, but the minute government tries to do it, it's a First Amendment violation, no matter how accurate it is.

If anyone actually cares to review the 1400 year history of the "cult of submission{ (AKA islam) they will find that what ISIS as well as AQ, the Iranian government, Boko Harrrum, etc are doing is what has been done by the followers of the alleged "prophet" since the cult began. There are many instances of killing of "non believers", grabbing territory, enslaving, raping, etc in those 1400 years so this isn't new nor is is confined to the area ISIS is attempting to control. For example, the destruction of ancient artifacts in Iraq is no different than the destruction of Buddhist statues by the Talliban or of Christian churches in many places conquered by the islamists or their conversion to a mosque like St Sophia. In addition, islam is closer to the likes of communism and fascism in that is a total lifestyle system dictating government functions, economic activity, and other secular activity as well as religious dictates like in Cannon Law.

Noted. Thanks for posting, Lynn.
I thought she explained it all very well; and concisely. Makes perfect sense to me. I also agree with Gloria H.'s above comment--excellent.

Has anyone noticed that ISIS flies a black fllag ( international symbol of piracy) as opposed to the Green Flag International symbol of Islam..see also: flag of Saudi Arabia.) All governments that don't allow religious freedom are, by definition, oppressive. I wouldn't want to live under Sharia law, nor Christian "Sharia": that candidates like Santorum and Huckabee offer. Period

Mike, the true color of Islam flag is black. Al-Queda also uses black.
