I do wish more people across the world knew this – those who hate everything that shows care and compassion for others (socialism!) and who SAY that they are Christian don't ever seem to have actually read the Gospels, never mind try and understand Christ's words and try to live them!

(I saw a picture of Jon Stewart with some First Responders today (17th) and he looked positively messianic!)..

They would have to be actually informed voters....probably people who don't watch Faux Noise....people who think for themselves and make up their own mind.... people who care about ALL life. Those people would vote for a Socialist Jew...

I love what Mr. Sanders stands for and represents. I'd vote for Bernie in a Texas minute. I also, loved the tweet from Mr. President to Ahmed, it's priceless.

Also have signed petitions re: Ahmed's situation.

Thanks, Nameless/Lynn for your post.

I have been leaning towards Mr. Sanders. I would like to know how he feels about Israel though and if he would be willing to be tough on them and not kow tow to their every whim.

So many people in USA do not really understand that our country is already Socialistic!

This was presented by TC on August 31, 2015 in PP.

we need to turn the word "socialist" from being a " 4 letter word" as per the GOP into "working for all of us" word

I'd vote for "him/her" if I'd think he/she is the right person for the job. Why does religion have to come into play? I wish to see the day where religion(s) are a private matter and a private matter only - if one needs one that is!

Go Bernie Sanders!!

I've always laughed to myself, and shaken my head ,sadly , when I hear and see anti-semitisum by all the so called christians . what they don't seem to realize or try to ignore is that their leader and prophet is and was a Jewish man . and as for the pictures of him , he looks awfully white. which is not really the Jewish complexion color . and as for voting for a socialist jew ? well isn't it funny America , would never vote for a catholic or an africian-american either . and oh my never a woman . YET .

@ Pat A --- Big disconnect isn't there between socialism and pseudo Christianity. But Jon Stewart, definitely not hard on the eyes, what with that beard and all.

@ Eleonora --- It's not just about the religion. Americans in very general terms, equate socialism with communism . . . perhaps a holdover from the McCarthy era, or even before ie the Russian Revolutions.

@ Wayne --- That's something you can count on . . . hence pseudo Christians.

@ Dave C --- You just might find that article in an Open Thread shortly.

@ Erika M --- Have you looked at his website? You may find an answer there or a forum through which to pose the question.

Thanks everyone!

Love the pic! Beautifully ironic. But the right wingers seem to be interested in the savage punishments of the Old Testament than actual Christianity.

It's not the jew part---entirely although Sanders is a darling of AIPAC and the right wing of Israel.

It's that he wants to be commander-in-chief of the ones who did all the sacrificing for our country when he wanted nothing to do with the military as a conscientious objector.

It's that he is a parasite attaching himself to the democrats to be elected over again with a socialist agenda like the the paradise of Venezuela .....

Sanders has been running for months now but he still has zero endorsements from members of Congress .A successful President reaches out to quarrelsome allies and troublesome foes overseas, as well as on Capitol Hill. He or she must build coalitions, often bipartisan, to tackle tough problems. Sanders' history shows he is incapable of compromise.

TO WOMEN ------If WOMEN won't support another woman like Ms Clinton MORE QUALIFIED than any other candidate---has the experience---is so revered for her brilliance in economics that companies will pay $200,000 a speech that she donated to charity. ( Goldman Saks paid her $400,000 ---Fidelity $200,000...like others)

THEN--.....

IN all fairness---we must tell the young schoolgirls---don't put yourself up for disappointment and think you can be elected president one day---no matter how qualified you are. It cannot happen in the USA----even some women won't support you -- turning the emotional knives on you --- ..

Good one....thanks Lynn and Nameless.

I just placed a news item on that I think will go nicely with this one. You can read it below.
That Wild Haired Liberal Jew That Christian Evangelicals Can Get Behind

Please also listen to the Audio.......he had tears flowing down my cheeks. Blessed Be.....

Jan, you know just because I have a vagina I have no responsibility to vote for a woman simply because she is a woman.

I certainly wouldn't of voted for Sarah Palin, nor the only woman running on the Republican side, although she is less scarey then many of the men on there, but to vote for a Candidate simply because she is a woman is not what many of us do.........we vote for the Candidate. Now, had Elizabeth Warren ran.....that is the woman I could of gotten behind; but she isn't. Bernie Sanders may be another man, but he is the man we need at this time.

Definitely---a Socialist, Democratic Jewish gentleman, honest, moral, has integrity, can not be bought by big money, speaks for return of citizen's rights, freedoms, true democracy. There's even much more that's positive about this man. If just the above isn't reason enough to you, to vote for him---then you aren't voting with your heart, soul and inner awareness. You either want a woman in there, no matter what, or you have money and assets you want protected from having to pay your fair share for taxes and Social Security. So, just remember when you don't vote for Bernie, you live with the ongoing destruction of Earth, the clmate, the environment, wildlife, yourself, all that lives---and until the final days---you have no true democracy, no real rights and freedoms, a rapid escalation into a police state, a rise in battles and wars,---on and on---all a "Dooms Day Recipe". A vote against Sanders is a cold, calculating, self-centered, short-sited, murderous, selling-out of the planet and all life. I chose which side I'm on. It's a battle between good and evil. You choose your's, and we'll both live or die with it. Thanks Lynn.
