TY Lynn...I feel the USA threw something against the wall and wants to see if it STUCK.

People didn't want Hillery, they didn't want TRUMP..they were looking for someone else Like I was. I was thinking Give me Martin Luther King, JFK, RFK...anyone but who I will have to vote for.

I want to give this guy a chance ~ I gave Obama and the Clintons 16 years not happy, but just want people to try this guy out. I was praying last night that he has a COOL HEAD ON. That would mean a CAP OVER THAT HAIR. *SORRY*...I think if he gets the right people in with him...he can get something done ~ hope people don't react like these students did in San Diego and try to walk on the freeway since sadly one only hurt herself.

Politics are always hard to deal with and professional politicians like the Clintons ummm...TRUMP is a professional something. Haven't figured that out yet so I am doing the HAIL MARY and HELP PLEASE.

Thanks for letting me rant Lynn! Night Night PEACE FOR ALL and I am not a PREACHER!

Yes, despite Global Warming – which will now continue unhindered beyond the point of no return because it's all a hoax – it'll be a very long and very cold winter. For all of us.

Keith Olbermann, sadly, is only too right: the terrorists have won. The Da'esh and every other extremist right wing group, including the KKK and all other White Supremacy followers, they have won.

I'll try to do an "As Seen From Afar" on how the world reacted to Trump's victory, but have to review what I've got, because there seems to be a considerable overlap. LOL You've mown the grass away that was right in front of my feet (Dutch proverb) Never mind, there's a whole country that needs to get back to the drawing board, so I can hardly complain.

Stunned and shocked: That is the description of what the rest of the world for the most part feels. The exceptions of course are fascist Trump's counter parts in Europe and the rest of the world. Most others just can't believe Americans have elected this man as their leader. That may be because they either think their culture is the American culture or they've not been paying attention or have forgotten about earlier American elections, or both. Europe was very much shocked by Ronald Reagan's election based for a large part on his movie star image. They were also surprised by the election of Dubya Bush, the second Bush, but were flabbergasted when he was given a second term after all the damage he had done in his first. So why is the election of a narcissistic reality star with no political experience what so ever such a surprise to us all? Reality shows are the rage all over the world.

Popular vote: It must be a comfort of sorts to know that Hillary Clinton has won the popular vote and repeat that often, but don't let it ever allow you to think there's not something terribly wrong in American culture and politics. Because what are we really talking about? According to CNN "That difference of 219,762 is razor-thin considering the nearly 120 million votes counted so far" (11/11/2016). That number will grow somewhat, but it's not something that really cushions her defeat and ignore that 59,535,522+ voters ticked Trump's box. If she had become president on such a very slim margin if the popular vote had been the means by which it had been decided, would that have made very much difference to the troubled state of polarization the country is in?

Oh, and don't forget: "[] had the Democrats managed to capture the bulk of third-party voters in some of the closest contests — Wisconsin (10), Pennsylvania (20), Michigan (16) and Florida (29) — Clinton would have defeated Trump by earning 307 Electoral College votes, enough to secure the presidency. "

Very good to see some perspective from the North where people united in an election and did the sensible thing for their country. Thanks for posting, Lynn.

Who knew Kasparov was a fan of "Game of Thrones" !

I'm not sure how much good it will do me to watch my back – I have no respurces to do anything about any threat I see coming. As far as Trump watching his back – well, that's what the Secret Service is for.

Thank you Lynn. He is not my president. He will NEVER be my president- and do not agree with him on one single issue.

He is not my president- I am not even sure is this is my country anymore. My plegde of Alliegence starts with- and stops with

"And Justice for ALL".

Never said anything in that pledge about the White Working Class only.

Petition signed!!

There is a chance to make hay out of this, if we still have "free" elections in 2018! By then Rumpy will be known for the incompetent he is, especialy in the rust belt, which will have seen no good come from their idiocy. The Dems oughttohave listened to Bill clinton, politician supreme, when he suggested, as I've read, that thy pay good attention to the rust belt white males. In the meanwhile, HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!

Start promoting and supporting actual policies that would bring real progress!

There was nothing progressive about Clinton, she was the poster politician for everything wrong with our Establishment. That is why she lost. It came down to whom would do the least amount of damage and that was Trump as unpredictable and despicable as he was.

War is not progress!
Growing government power while chipping away at civil liberties is not progress.
End the 2 party Oligarchy.

Real progress will only come through Peace & Liberty.

GoodGrief~ Those buckeyes in Ohio got sold a bucket of coal for their Christmas stocking - and it came from a slick salesman who knew how to scare up the weak emotions of fear. It was a slam dunk, apparently, because folks such as Eric Lees took the token of hope as a promissory diamond about to be evaluated for it's value, - but, it's only a chunk of dirty coal. If we respected women more in this puritan founded nation, perhaps we could call ourselves progressive in truth. As it is, we're holding on to the 'way it was' in hopes of WHAT???, Going back there??? The old man of 'I am the power to change things' is also a puritan message, as if it only takes one strong man to fix the entire world, and he believes himself to be that man!!! Hillary never claimed herself the answer to every problem. Of course, if she had taken that verbal persuasion course, - no one would believe her because -> SHE IS A WOMAN!!! Yet, those same crooked words came out of the mouth of a maniacal male, and 'bingo' - it's a salesman's world. And Russia as well as China are completely content to wrestle with a novice politician who would love to be famous across the globe for all of history's future books, - Oh Brother, Oh Sister! When will we ever learn???

Politics and government are certainly among the most important of practical human interests. --- P. T. Barnum

You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. --- Abraham Lincoln

As Spl Agent Dwayne Pride of NCIS New Orleans says "Go, learn things!"

If you don't like what has happened and will happen, learn and participate. That is still your right!

Thanks all.
