Each year, 150,000 km2 of forest disappear (15,000,000 hectares), the equivalent of Belgium. Or also 2,000 trees per minute. In Australia, hundreds of thousands of eucalyptus forests are cut down to plant trees for pulp.

Difficult to detect palm oil products in Australia as products do not have to specify palm oil, just call it vegetable oil or vegetable fat. Also, why aren't we in Australia growing hemp for paper instead of trees . Thanks Massimiliano

Need to buy palm oil from a sustainable source, that gives the people a salary organising and supplying it.
an out right ban would prevent the people from making a living, - they do not harm the animals or eco system, - this needs advertising, - check it out, i think greenpeace advocate for this xxxxxxxxxxx

Millions of animals have been harmed in Borneo because of palm oil plantations. It's an island. They have no place to go! There is only one small area left in Borneo with truly ''old'' forest. The rest is a mess. It broke my heart.
