This is Deacon pictured above. The title is decieving because it says seven pit bull puppies were poisoned when it was actually five. No matter the # this shouldn't have ever happened!! I saw a precious 2 yr. old black and white dog on 'Pet Pals' on my local news today, that gave birth to two puppies but one of the puppies died and she's very sad. I can just imagine how this Mommy dog must be grieving for her dead pups.

How could anyone do this to innocent young puppies? That is akin to killing babies because they MIGHT grow up to be murderers. I am sick to death of the stigma attached to certain dog breeds. We don't have too many American Pit Bulls here but I have a beautiful Rottweiler with such a loving nature - she adores all people - and I am constantly having to defend the breed to ignorant people. It is NOT the dog - it is the owner who is as fault if there is a problem.

There are some incredibly nasty, sadistic people in the world. The article stated that the poison was placed in the puppies' water; could the perpetrator be traced and caught?

This is such an ignorant thing to do, Pit Bulls are no more dangerous than any other dog, it is the owners who encourage dangerous behaviour, they are used as a status symbol for weak and pathetic owners who need to look tough to be 'someone'.

Noted with thanks Barb.
