Ventura County, CA - Sometimes a story comes along to lift your spirit and restore your faith in humanity. It all began back on December 23 when a black and white Pit bull, now known as Chauncy, showed up on the grounds of the Mounds Elementary School.

You just have to Love the Beauty & Kindness that lies in the Heart of a Child! Even more Beautiful that their Hearts are lead to Help a Breed that is under attack & misunderstood. Thank you to those trying to Help Save & Educate Others regarding this Beautiful Loving Animal... Prayers to Chauncy and to his other pit bull & child friends...

Shame on the owner who clearly dumped this animal. Bless this teacher, and this school. An important lesson was taught.

Noted. I am glad the teacher and class have done so much but you'd think at least one of the kids' families could give him a home.

The story was published in February. It would be good to know where Chauncy is now as this only gave him a short reprieve not a home as no one adopted him, just fund raised.
.I hope he hasn't been killed

So wonderful to see kids saving a dog that the media would stereotype into making us believe is dangerous. Good for them!

So sweet! Amber's dog Holly is a pit bull and she's a sweet dog. They shouldn't be lumped together as "bad". They all have a personality!!! Like mice, right Barb??? :)

Status: Adopted (not adoptable)!!!

As 10 years old, Brendan said: "It's not fair for a dog to not have a home."
Thank you dear BarbCat.
