Evans is digging in for another cause as well. She wants the more static International Symbol of Access changed to an active person in a wheelchair.

"There is so much stigma of what people believe a disabled person is; they don't expect us to be working,” Evans told WCVB. “They don't expect us to be out in the community.”

An inspiration for others she is -- this should be shared as much as possible with everyone to show what a great person she is and to let others in the same situation know they can do it too if able to. Never give up--what a sweetheart she is! God bless her.

And a member of my family living in the suburbs near another city, and near a high school, can't even PAY local teens to do it... they don't want manual labor. wow

If a woman in a wheelchair can shovel snow, maybe others should stop complaining about doing the same job.

I guess I'll be happy when it's not considered such a big deal that a disabled person can do challenging things.

Good for her, like that she places the little signs to remind people. As they say, where there is a will there is a way and she certainly is making a way, one shovel at a time.
