There isn't one thing about The American Girl Dolls that is made in America. Their manufacturing company is in China. However, the concept of The American Girl Dolls was thought of in Middletown, Wisconson, headquarters.

Signed with very little expectation, they are promoting human exploitation by setting up in China & paying workers there very little. We have lost many iconic Aussie industries to China too, which also means less employment opportunities for us!

We should not be giving our children dolls made in China by abused workers while our own workers are unemployed or underemployed...peace.

The factory in China is much cheaper therefore the most toys are made there. Unfortunately, most often under inhumane conditions. Today's society want to buy things as cheaply as possible without thinking about the consequences after.

It isn't enough to just have your design dept. in the USA, like our flag, American girls should be made in the USA. Until they are my little American granddaughter will not receive one, because I refuse to spend my money on jobs overseas, while our USA workers are still looking for jobs.
