Oh NO, so tragic for this little cub, he'll never feel freedom and I hope he not suffer at the same cruel fate as Knut. Knut was badly treated at the time and died tragically of animal abuse and mistreatment of zoo director and suffered from captivity. By Knut the zoo has millions of euros in sales .... but when he was grown up and no longer snow-white, he came into a single prison, sat only on a little piece of rock and his water had not been cleaned for months etc.
No animal should suffer behind bars !!!

Hope the polar bears can survive outside of zoos -- it would be much better for them and us.

I'm thinking/hoping this so-called 'zoo' is a sanctuary. Remember, the word 'zoo' is tossed around like a tennis ball.

The baby is pure preciousness but Berlin zoo isn't a sanctuary.
They trademarked the name Knut after the Polar Bear died at the age of 4, in 2011 & wanted to have his body stuffed.

Thanx Barb
