With profound insights from some of the world's great peacemakers, this essay explores the connection between how we treat animals and how we treat each other.

I wholeheartedly agree...
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
“…as we treat our fellow beings, ‘the animals,’ so shall we treat our fellow men.”
“As long as there are slaughterhouses there will be battlefields.”

Thank-you Heather ~♥~

I would think caring for animals would go hand in hand with caring for people. However, some people have ingrained prejudices and fears toward people/cultures they don't understand which is learned usually from their parents.

1 thing is 4 sure--if more people were kind to animals/treated them with respect+awe than our world would be filled with divine human beings but instead we have the opposite. Too many damn evil worthless sub-humans who get their kicks outta torturing/prodding/skinning/eating...and the list goes on and on. It will never change either. Every school curriculum should include animal/environment studies+not even sure what difference that would make but it def would some help youngers see animals differently+i truly believe that. I'll leave on this note--if we got rid rid of the billions of animal abusers than we'd have a manageable population of round 3 billion. You must factor in all the scum in research labs/factory farms/slaughter houses/fur farms---you get the sheer volume. thanks
