When faced with the big question of who to support in the upcoming presidential election, there's one issue that, to an increasing number of voters, is taking priority over everything else - and it's not what you might think.

Thank you Cathy for sharing this insightful environmental perspective on Sanders who has been the only candidate in the two major parties presenting any policies that will result in the kind of change scientists tell us is required soon enough.

Glad you liked it JL.A. The interview was great, one of the best I've had the pleasure of doing, IMHO, If you liked it please share away, Annie needs our support! She's the real thing, and was a true delight to talk to.

Yes--The topics of the petitions we passionately sign here on Care2--like environmental, wildlife, socioeconomic, agriculture, women's rights, etc.---are also the passions of Bernie Sanders---and he admires those convictions in The Green Party's Dr. Jill Stein....and obviously Annie Vitters.

Appreciate the interview, Cathy. Will certainly be giving another rare good soul, Annie Vitters support.

Thanks, JL A for the share. Bernie was the person I wanted, but not the person we got. I hope the support he continues to receive will result in more progressive issues being added to the DNC platform.i

Adding my thanks here to both ladies, Judi for fwd and Cathy for a great story! (I wonder is she related in some way to Matt Taibbi? )
Not having US citizenship, sadly I am not authorized to donate to Bernie's delegates helping them travel to Philly, I checked the FEC rules for that.

For better exposure I wish this post would have got submitted to the environment section at C2NN! Too bad we have no more option to cross post stories, could go under Animals as well. Many more visitors there from all over the world than to US Politics. And NON US members do have US friends who can help.Sharing.

Thanks for the information. Bernie is our last and only hope for this nation and sadly we get stuck with Her Majesty or worse, who don't give a *(&% about anything but power and money.

Noted. Thanks for posting, Cathy.
Yes, an excellent interview. I have read today that we didn't get many environmental "wins" on the Dem platform, although it isn't yet finalized. I can only hope that this is changed at the convention, even though the candidate is never beholden to the platform, unfortunately.
I do wish we had many more delegates as passionate and steadfast as Annie.

Annie: "I began to realize early on in my childhood that our environment was very important.....I didn't realize at that time we would ever be concerned with the dramatic drop in the amount of bees around the world..." "I longed for a candidate to talk about global climate change.....Bernie is a 'no nonsense' kind of guy, which we need as President."

"When Bernie states that he wants "money out of politics", he speaks about the money some politicians receive in order to keep quiet or turn the other way from what these companies are doing, ignoring the glaring science that climate change is destroying our planet and our people. Some of Bernie's policy initiatives are; reclaiming our democracy from the fossil fuel industry..."

Annie Vitters is a high quality delegate supporting Bernie. She will be prepared in Philly when Hillary stumbles out of the race.

That is exactly right Randy! And that's why I did find a way and managed to support her despite my restrictions! :)

The media won't introduce them to us so we must do it on our own. I am sure there are many more such gems like Annie. So, if you missed the deadline for funding via Bernie's campaign, see what you can do directly for his delegates, if by spreading the word.
Wish there were more people like Cathy T. to give them a public voice!

Thanks Cathy for posting this and exposing one of the lovely people like Annie who will be standing there to represent the Bernie Sanders supporters and supporting Bernie Sanders. Annie is the future of this Country as she said, she never expected to see so much environmental disruption and loss of species already by the age of 30.

We have no time to waste of Candidates like Trump and Hillary, but we will get stuck with one of them as the DNC certainly didn't play fairly and the Corporate media too busy protecting the 1% that would rather keep business as usual because it make millions and billions for them. The psychopaths and sociopaths in charge of to much at the moment.

I suggest that people pay particular attention to the down ticket races going on as some Progressives are trying to get into the House and Senate. Also for the younger people, or even a spunky older one, start to run for and fill in seats like at the School Board level, Mayors, and Thom Hartmann brought up important information in this video. Tom Hartmann Important Information

Bernie Sanders has a lot of people that agree and want what he speaks, but his message was hidden as much as possible by those who want to keep things the way they are, it works for them, but for the millions that the system doesn't work for, had they known about Bernie and all he stood for they would of been in his camp too, let alone the people who TRIED to vote for him but had every hurdle thrown in their way.

This brings me to this posting.

Thanks also to Angelika. There is a link to the Go Fund Me on this article perhaps someone can help this young woman who is helping all of us get to Philly.

Thank you Cathy. Posted to FB. Already received DWS news and have aware of this for some time. That was also posted to FB, but needs to be posted again, closer to the Convention.
