When the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig disaster sent a torrent of toxic oil into the Gulf of Mexico, there was at least one person -- sitting at the moment in a federal penitentiary in Colorado -- briskly penning, "I told you so."

Rachael Carson warned us, too. she didn't feel compelled to kill anyone in the process. I have absolutely no interest in anything this lunatic murderer has to say. Attending to anything he says is decidedly against our interests as a civilized society. We can put down mad dogs, but not rabid people.

I did find it somewhat interesting that he would choose to comment NOW and about this...other than that, like you, I couldn't care less. It was mostly an "entertaining moments" sortof post :)

It's so unfortunate that he is allowed to use a disaster like the BP oil spill to wave his own flag. Everyone with at least average intelligence is aware of dangers inherent in the continuing development of various technologies. We don't need someone like him to keep us up to date. He should not even be allowed to communicate with the outside world. Even though every thing he says is true those of us who really care about the well-being of this planet do not need a self-appointed spokesperson such as the Unabomber.

There are any number of people that convey this same message, even here on Care2, but they do not murder people to get their point across. This is another story the media should have left unreported.

Sounds like this story was on the need to know basis. Not on my need to know, but I suppose the media was definitely in the mood to share this day. Sad though, they listen better to murders then they do everyone else..

Guess he has been denied the limelight so long that he is desperate to state the obvious...
