As the Burmese military dictatorship cracked down on protesters, killing a number of people including monks, it warned journalists not to cover or participate in the street protests that spread across the tightly controlled Southeast Asian country.

Brutal and tragic, what's happening in
Burma/Myanmar, and no end in sight. No
justice in sight for these horribly
oppressed people, either.
"Media warned not to cover protests"
Why do I get the feeling we'll be seeing
a headline like that in Amerika before
Thanks, Rabbit.

Burma's government is so brutal and repressive it's heartbreaking.

Thanks, Rabbit. Bad enough that the Burmese are experiencing such internal strife and risking their lives to protest against it, now journalists--doesn't matter from where--are being shot and killed for documenting the story. Not detained, not deported...shot down and killed. Just imagine the response of the Japanese people to the killing of the photographer who was not interring, just doing his job! The Burmese military think they can call citizens, including monks, and it is not a world story! I am outraged all over again!

Pretty scary stuff and I feel for the people there. Talk about a hard day at work. You go to cover a story and come home in a body bag. I don't know what the world is coming to.
