Aan, described as a "clever" primate, was tranquilised before undergoing a cataract operation on her right eye at a reserve in Borneo. Her left one, which was ruptured by dozens of pellets when she was attacked in 2012, has been removed.

How desperately sad that this wonderful creature has been put through this unnecessary procedure becaus of greedy violent humans!. Thank you the wonderful surgeon!

So happy to know the surgery went well for this lovely girl ! Aan shouldn't have had to endure any of these hardships, in the very first place. These magnificent apes are critically endangered thanks to palm oil & the greed of man. I wish her well and hold onto much hope for the rest! Thanks for posting Derek. :)
