In what seems like ages ago in the Chris Christie Gina Close-a-your-bridgeda scandal saga, the WSJ reported something that looked exceptionally fishy at the time; that Christie had talked with Andrew Cuomo and asked him to get Patrick Foye,...

Seems that his nose should be growing or his pants burning--pretty blatant as if he doesn't think anyone cares about this kind of abuse of power--sad statement of affairs and the state of ethics and morals so-called leaders like this in the GOP apparently have and consider OK.

A second thought--seems it was closer to the last election when he was discovered to have been using Governor's Office specialized transportation for personal and family reasons instead of official business...will this scandal stick more?

JL A., he was also flagged for excessively overbilling on travel expenses, egregiously overbilling. So much so that it caught the eye of New Jersey general accounting office.

Thanks Carrie for the link to the article. There is no doubt in my mind that Christie knew what went on and I do hope Coumo releases the info on the call. Read and noted.

Ty Carrie . . . Yep this is Christie & Co. S-O-P . . . i think people are afraid there isn't anyone left who isn't well as unwilling to face that even the smartest humans on earth can be scammed and/or misinformed. . .or that malversation can become so habitual and pervasive. . .so they stick their heads back in the sand just hoping it will all blow away. . .

This guys whole demeanor, his in your face, my way or the highway personality suggests that it's ludicrous to think that he had no knowledge of this incident as it was transpiring.

Your comment forces me to remember Hillary Clinton when questioned about Benghazi and her whole demeanor, in your face, my way or the highway personality suggests that it's ludicrous to think that SHE had no knowledge of why four Americans were slaughtered. This also reminds me of Obama in 2010 standing before the American more than 30 times assuring euphoric Americans that they would not lose their healthcare coverage. He was in our faces and he even went so far as to say, "period."

The reason I am referencing your comments is because what you posted could be said about many politicians...and, yes, even the president and vice president and of course the secretary of and furious....the list goes on and on....

It is all to obvious that Christie new more than he's admitted in his press conference. He might well have been the man to order it himself.
But I doubt very much that this new spin is ever going to be confirmed. As Rachel Meadow already explained, Christie tried to maximise his win in his re-election and therefore sought the endorsement of hundreds of Democratic officials and got quite a lot of them too - which shocked me no end, I must say. And now it turns out he has asked Mr. Cuomo, a Democrat, to back off investigating this scandal. But the fact that Mr. Cuomo is a Democrat doesn't seem to be a guarantee that he is going to drop the ball on Mr. Christie, it seems. We can only hope he does, because the sooner Christie can forget about running for President the better.

TIP OF THE ICEBERG that Christie ask Cuomo to back off. It will be shown he had his dirty hands all over this.

I wouldn't count on Andy, (the NY real estate crime family), Cuomo to do anything to help the people. After all, Andy is no saint; remember, he was in charge of HUD when it came up "missing" 10's of billions of tax dollars!

His wife was in charge of a Sandy charity relief fund that did not distribute a single dollar months after Sandy struck. Not sure of the current status. Found it disturbing at her smiling and laughing as he was berating a teacher. It's easy being a bully with troopers behind you.

Christie need the boot...Always forgetting that the people voted him and they can vote him out - but it would be better that he gets it now in my opinion. Thanks for sharing Carrie.

Well, would be prudent to list the reasons why Christie deserves the boot when it hasn't been proven that he is lying about his involvement in the lanes closing. If anyone deserves "the boot" it would be our sitting president for lying to thousands of unsuspecting Americans that they would NOT lose their health insurance and they could keep their doctors and hospitals. Obama apologized for the uh "cancelling of their health insurance. He knew they would lose their health insurance in 2010 but he didn't tell the American people. So, how bad is that? It's bad. However, the liberals appear to be hell bent on removing Hillary's boulder in the road. That would be Christie.

Any comments on Obama blatantly lying to the American people about "Obamacare." I realize that any reference today to "Obamacare" is politically incorrect according to Nancy Pelosi. However, Pelosi is no longer important IMO.

Christie has always come off as a blatant bully from yelling at the press, dissing a teacher and not caring whose feet he steps on. Let the dumbed down in the Republican party stand behind him. If he's not thrown out of office I doubt he'd quit, he's much too arrogant for that. Maybe they'll put him up at the GOP candidate for President. If so and if Hillary runs , she'll shred him like paper.

Gov Christie is supposed to be the leader. He has to take responsibility! Think of all the air pollution created, gasoline waste, and high blood pressure created during that excessive traffic backup. Third World, eh????
