Bright's extreme opposition to tougher gun laws is just one of many positions that puts him far outside of the mainstream, even in staunchly Republican South Carolina. Among other examples, Bright has:

He's a gibbering, barking-mad, looney-tunes, cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs Tea Party moron. He needs to be in an asylum, not Congress. Stay classy South Carolina! Where do you keep dredging up these lunatics? I guess this is the logical result of home-schooled kids, who have no real perspective on anything but what their parents tell them. Unfortunately for this guy, his parents are crazy too, so he picked it all up from them. It takes a special kind of stupid to be this uninformed. I hope he steps smack on his own Johnson, rhetorically speaking of course, during the primary & gets run out on a rail like misceganist & KKK Grand Wizard Homer Stokes in Oh Brother Where Art Thou when they ran him out of town on a rail.

As before, my first thought was "bring them on, all these nutters, the more the merrier". But then I got to the end of the article and read that he could actually have a chance to get into the senate, because amongst others, his Democratic opponent is extremely weak and possibly a simple crook at that. This is not the way forward, folks.

The Teabager Klan are down to racist and fear mongers as supporters which is starting to make them ever more so desperate...sending their looney alarms off at every chance one opens their mouth. I expect this trend to worsen the closer we get to the next federal election. This trend will not help win the big prize...the White House but they know that and are trying to continue placing their 'looney alarms in state offices and in our nations Congress. There is where people in the states where these rightwing looney fascist extremist must be stopped and that will take good opponents opposing them...if that's not there....expect the worse obviously. Some states just have a larger per cent of racist and fear mongers in their ranks and that is more than a tad scary for the nation as a whole.......period.

Thanks for the read and for sharing Carrie.......

Thank You or this Carrie. Never in my Lifetime have I seen such radicals being voted for, and so many of them are coming up the craziest statements and beginning to sound like a bunch of lunatics.
Did you read, that a Republican in Florida actually made a statement that President Obama should face a hanging?????!!!!
