I never was happy with anyone who brings politics or world events into their acceptance speech; it just is not appropriate. For the most part, I thought Leto's speech was just heartwarming. I wonder if his mother knew what he had planned to reveal about their past.

Some times I would agree with Allan, leave the politics out of the social drama of the year, but Leto did just fine.

I thought his speech was good, his tribute to his mother very heartwarming and he deserved that oscar. He was great in the movie.

I don't watch award shows but having seen the movie and the performances of both Leto and McConaughey . I'm not surprised that they both won.

When the lights came up as the film was closing, I turned to my friend and said "THAT deserves TWO Oscars."

Jaret Leto's performance was heartbreaking and uplifting, simultaneously. His mother should be proud of his sentiments and his speech.

I'm looking forward to his next piece of work.

That dude is awesome. This was the first time I have watched the show in a bazillion years, but glad I watched this one. That was the best speech, besides Lupita's! They all deserve Emmy's for the acceptance speeches!!

Never thought, that guy was 42 already! I liked his speech, particularly the part about not being ashamed of loving someone.
