What a total waste of $$$$...the Death Penalty doesn't work as seen time after time killing of the innocent. It should be abolished--it's PRIMITIVE. Thx Carrie

There is no such thing as humane execution!

'Humane execution' is a bit of an oxymoron.

If you must terminate someone then a bullet to the sweet spot or Amygdalla is the most cost efficient and humane way to do it. Then again you could just release them into gen pop and most of the rapists; wife beaters and murderers of women and children would be taken care of by the prison hierarchy.
A lot of mistakes were made prior to DNA testing as a result of poor policing methods; corrupt and lazy officials and a lot of innocent people were railroaded into prison because of it. I think it should be mandatory for all incarcerated prisoners to be DNA printed along with mug shots and fingerprinting. I wonder how many of those criminals in jail for serious offences don't want to be fingerprinted because they're guilty of a lot of other crimes the authorities don't know about? What have y'all got to hide?

The words "humane"and "execution" should never be used in the same sentence. It's about time you joined civilized countries, America, and stop wasting money and resources on making a barbaric act more palatable for society.

Noted. Thanks, Carrie. I am against the death penalty, too. Of course, it is inhumane. But, as explained here, also very costly and a major waste of time that could be better spent.....

I'd oppose the death penalty even if it wasn't being applied disproportionately to minorities as it has been. No amount of bells and whistles can hide that it is a barbaric practice.

I am completely for the death penalty, and it should be legal in all states. There are too many murderers, rapists, and pedophiles in the prisons, using up taxpayer dollars.
