"I'm me. I'm a person. This is who I am. I'm not stuck in anybody's body. My brain is much more female than male," Jenner said. "For all intents and purposes, I am a woman. People look at me differently. They see you as this macho male, but my heart ...

Don't know him nor the Kardashians, but at 65 he looks pretty damn good I think. And I certainly admire and respect him a whole lot for revealing what was his "secret"!
"By sharing this story, Bruce Jenner has shined a light on what it means to be transgender and live authentically in the face of unimaginable public scrutiny. Though Jenner's journey is one that is deeply personal, it is also one that will impact and inspire countless people around the world."
No doubt it will, well done, bravo!

I was really impressed by the 20/20 interview with Jenner. It was refreshing to see such humor, honesty, and all without any sensationalism! Everyone should make an effort to see this.

I was kind of aware something was going on with Jenner's gender identity but--believe it or not--I didn't know that she was married to a Kardashian for 22 years or was on their reality TV show. Perhaps that makes me socially oblivious -- maybe over-the-hill -- but I have no interest in reality shows (or even in much TV), and I don't bother keeping up with celebrity gossip.

Great interview; courageous of Jenner to talk openly and help achieve a better informed public about transgender people. Look forward to a day when it won't be necessary for LBGTIQ's to sacrifice their privacy like this, and they are no longer persecuted, or have such high suicide rates.

One of the main problems of the press/media machine, coupled WITH social media, is there are masses of opportunities for sensationalism, and old attitude and stereotypes to be massively inflated.

I hope her life will now be more comfortable in every way now, but let's leave her alone, with some privacy..

Watched interview on tv. There was some sadness and some humor, but the message was clear. Interview well done, also. thx

"Note: Though Jenner has come out as “for all intents and purposes a woman,” he has not yet indicated that he would like to be known by a new name or female pronouns, so this story uses male pronouns."

Bruce Jenner said at this moment, in this interview, we should still use the familiar pronouns "him" or "he." #BruceJennerABC (
that's why I also did so.

Noted. To live 65 years of his life with this secret is mind-boggling to me. I remember when the Olympic winner was on a box of Wheaties. And 10 kids with 3 wives! As Angelika noted, he identifies as a woman, (I read he doesn't identify with being gay), but is not sure whether he will have surgery. Well, I wish him much happiness, as well as privacy.

I think privacy is the last thing Bruce Jenner wants. He was, after all, a Kardashian.
